It's that time again to reflect on our accomplishments, consider our shortcomings, and make big promises for the year ahead. I'm usually not big on New Year's resolutions because at this point I'm aware of my limitations and prefer not to set myself up for self-loathing for not meeting a goal that was recognizable as unrealistic right from the start. This year, however, I've decided to throw all caution to the wind and stop being so pragmatic. I've made a short list of what I'd like to accomplish throughout the year. The biggest item on that list is to actually write something in Daily Writing Disasters daily. I'm not sure if this is possible given the reality of my schedule and the many demands on my time, but since I already kick myself endlessly about my lack of writing accomplishments while the years continue to slip by me, it seems I have nothing to lose.
So here I go. New year. New blog layout. New blog entries.
Wish me luck.
